BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Turgut Yilmaz is currently a research scientist at the Department of Physics, Xiamen University Malaysia. He received his PhD in 2016 from the University of Connecticut. He specializes in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and molecular beam epitaxial growth of thin films including topological insulators, transition metal dichalcogenides, and superconductors. His current research interest is band structure engineering in topological and 2D materials to achieve states of matter that can be used in fault tolerant quantum information technologies.
