Short-term research programs

Liu Yanming   , Westlake University, China on aspects of solid state physics
Yin Zhekai, Singapore University of Technology. Design on machine learning for many electron problem
Gu Junyi , Shanghai Jiaotong University on high energy physics.

The semester is coming to an end—how are you planning your long break?
We would like to congratulate the following three students for earning the opportunity to participate in short-term research programs:

Liu Yanming is currently in the second semester of her second year. She will be joining a research project in solid-state physics at Westlake University, China.

Yin Zhekai, also in the second semester of his second year, has been approved to conduct research in machine learning at the Singapore University of Technology and Design.

Gu Junyi has just completed the second semester of his freshman year. Due to his outstanding performance, he has been recommended to participate in high-energy physics research at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

Although a two-month research may not yield concrete results, it will undoubtedly broaden the students’ horizons and allow them to experience the life of a physicist.

The Physics Department at Xiamen University Malaysia emphasizes the development of solid research skills and a strong spirit of inquiry. We hope all students will study hard, actively engage in pursuing the truth of nature and contributing to society.
