Professor Roslan served at the Department of Applied Physics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He received his PhD from the University of Arkansas, USA in 1991. His field of research is high temperature superconductors. He has authored several popular books such as Secrets of Success in Writing High Impact Journals, Books and Theses, Introduction to Superconductivity in Metals, Alloys and Cuprates, Managing Scholarly Journal: What Editors Should Know and Einstein in Malaya. He is a member of the editorial board of several journals including Superconductor Science and Technology and Editor-in-Chief of Sains Malaysiana 2006-2013. He is a Fellow, The Insitute of Physics, United Kingdom and the Malaysian Academy of Sciences and also a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Physics, Princeton University.
